Research by Gizmodo has found that 28,251 apps including popular games like Fruit Ninja and even photo editors like Canva send user data to TikTok’s servers.
This is separate, of course, from the widespread data collection by TikTok on websites such as WebMD, RiteAid pharmacies and Planned Parenthood with their pixel trackers. Data sent included search terms and items added to user’s carts.
