Germany’s announcement of the delivery of 14 Leopard 2 A6 tanks to Ukraine was met by Russian hackers who performed a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack on various websites, as reported by CADO security. Germany’s cyber security agency BSI stated the attacks by the Russian group “Killnet”, as well as Anonymous Russia and Anonymous Sudan were mostly unsuccessful.

“Currently, some websites are not accessible. There are currently no indications of direct effects on the respective services and, according to the BSI’s assessment, these are not to be expected,” BSI explained.
Several German airports, the German foreign intelligence service and the German cabinet were some of the targets of the attack.
