“The PC Security Channel” on YouTube has demonstrated using the network analyzer ‘WireShark’ that a fresh installation of Windows 11 immediately starts sending telemetry data to not only Microsoft, but various other third-party companies including McAfee, Steam and ScorecardResearch.com, a known market researcher.
“As with any modern operating system, users can expect to see data flowing to help them remain secure, up to date, and keep the system working as anticipated,” a Microsoft spokesperson told Tom’s Hardware.
